COVERAGE OVERVIEW
What DriveDuo Protects
DriveDuo is a mechanical parts-and-labor membership designed to cover the components that keep your vehicle running. Here's how the protection is structured — from core drivetrain systems to additional benefits that go the extra mile.
COVERED COMPONENTS
Nearly everything under the hood
Five Star Coverage covers your vehicle's mechanical and electrical systems. Everything is covered except for a short list of routine maintenance items and wear parts you'd replace regardless.
The systems and parts below represent the full scope of what's included. Specific covered parts within each system are set out in your membership agreement.
INCLUDED BENEFITS
More than just Parts and Labor
Wear & Use
Replacement of covered components resulting from gradual reduction in performance due to normal wear and use, when wear exceeds manufacturer's specifications.
Rental Assistance
Reimbursement for substitute transportation up to $35 per day for five days (not to exceed $175 per occurrence) when a covered part breaks down.
Trip Interruption
Up to $225 reimbursement for meal and lodging expenses when a covered breakdown disables your vehicle more than 100 miles from home.
Roadside Assistance
National roadside assistance through Road America Motor Club for towing and other emergency needs — available 24 hours a day.
Contract Transferability
If you sell your covered vehicle to another private party, you may apply to transfer coverage to the new owner per the service agreement terms.
Future Contract Guarantee
You may purchase a new contract up to 30 days and 1,500 miles before your current contract expires to extend your protection.
HOW IT WORKS
A straightforward claims experience
When a covered mechanical issue arises, DriveDuo manages the member experience so you can focus on getting back on the road.
Contact DriveDuo first.
Reach out to the DriveDuo member line before authorizing any repair. Pre-authorization is required — unauthorized repairs may not be covered.
Authorize the repair.
DriveDuo works with the repair facility to confirm coverage and authorize the work, including parts and labor.
Get back on the road.
Covered parts and labor costs are handled per your agreement terms, including any applicable deductible you selected.
WHAT'S NOT COVERED
Only what you'd expect
DriveDuo is designed to cover mechanical failures — not routine maintenance or items that routinely need replacement regardless of a breakdown.
Routine maintenance
Oil, coolant, fluids, refrigerant, and other maintenance consumables.
Wear replacement items
Battery, tires, brake pads, brake drums, brake shoes, exhaust system, and shock absorbers.
Appearance & exterior
Bright metal, vinyl, ornaments, wheel covers, and paint.
Interior
Upholstery, buttons, carpet, door handles, and window handles.
This coverage supplements the vehicle's protection provided under a new vehicle warranty from the manufacturer. Included in this coverage is the replacement of covered components resulting from gradual wear and use when the wear exceeds manufacturer's specifications.
